Harrisburg, PA – The chairs of the Maine and Massachusetts utility regulatory commissions are among the featured speakers at the Retail Energy Supply Association’s 2013 Energy Competition Symposium in Boston on Sept. 18. The half-day event will explore leading issues affecting retail energy competition nationally.
“Retail energy competition and its public profile are growing in the states that encourage customer choice. And since our first symposium last year, we’ve seen a number of states open formal proceedings to consider bringing the benefits of retail energy competition to their consumers,” observed RESA President Melissa Lauderdale.
The symposium will feature panel discussions on consumer protection for retail energy customers and how to successfully meld renewable energy policy goals and retail electric competition. The afternoon-long event will close with a cocktail reception.
