‘Conversations’ Highlight Customer Benefits of Retail Energy Choice
Harrisburg, Pa. – The Retail Energy Supply Association (RESA) has developed a series of short videos intended to enhance the organization’s website by providing consumer-friendly content highlighting the benefits of customer choice for electricity and natural gas.
The video series, entitled “A Conversation on Energy Choice and Competition,” addresses the consumer, product innovation and environmental benefits of retail energy choice while assuring viewers that shopping for their energy supply is not difficult and the reliability of service they’ve come to expect will be maintained.
“RESA as an organization is dedicated to promoting retail energy competition in the best interests of consumers. This video series is part of our efforts to educate consumers about the opportunities afforded them when states provide for customer choice in electricity and natural gas,” RESA President Melissa Lauderdale explained.
The short videos feature customer and environmental group representatives, the former head of the Illinois Power Agency, and representatives of the competitive retail energy supply industry.
The five videos are entitled:
- How do consumers benefit from energy choice and competition?
- Is it difficult to purchase my electricity or natural gas from a competitive supplier?
- How does energy choice and competition help the environment?
- When I’m shopping for competitive energy is it all about the price?
- Can I expect reliable service from a competitive retail energy supplier?
